Itinerary Details
Day 01 Arrive Manali :
You have your own arrangements to arrive Manali and check in at your pre booked hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 Manali - Sarchu (222 Kms) :
Early morning pickup from Manali Hotel and head for Sarchu, driving across Rohtang Pass (13050 ft) and passing through Keylong, Jispa and Dracha and then cross the Baralacha Pass (16020 ft) to arrive at Sarchu in the late afternoon. Overnight in fixed camp at Sarchu.
Day 03 Sarchu - Leh (255 Kms) :
After early breakfast leave for Leh en-route crossing Nakeela and Lachalung-la Pass (16,617 ft.). Break for lunch at Pang and then drive on towards Leh passing through Skyangchu Thang (a vast plateau stretching for 42 kms) and then crossing Taglang-La (17,585ft) and driving through the upper Indus Valley. Reach Leh by evening. Overnight in hotel.
Day 04 Leh local sightseeing.
After breakfast, visit Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery. Post Lunch drive to Stok Palace and museum across river Indus and back to Leh . Visit Hall of fame and Leh Palace and Overnight in hotel.
Day 05 Leh-Khardungla – Nubra
After breakfast leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong-la (alt: 18,380 ft). After descending from the pass, drive on for sightseeing of Sumoor area. Later check into a fixed camp in the same area or drive across to Deskit for overnight stay in a camp.
Day 06 Nubra – Leh
In the morning visit / explore Deskit , Hundar and the Sand Dunes where you can enjoy a short camel safari using the double-humped Bactrian camel found here (optional on direct payment). Later drive back to Leh, reaching in the late afternoon / evening. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07 Leh – Pangong - Leh
Full day excursion to Pangong Lake (approx. 300 kms round trip, located on the Indo-China Border), enroute crossing the Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft.). After sightseeing around the lake, drive back to Leh reaching in the late afternoon / evening. Overnight in hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 08 Leh – Aryan Valley
Today you have an interesting day by driving west to see Pathar Sahib gurudwara / Magnetic hill / confluence of Zanskar and Indus. Continue to follow river Indus and stop at Achinathang to see the monolithic Rock Art. Arrive at Beema Lastang and check in at your Camp and enjoy the beautiful evening. Overnight stay at Camp
Day 09 In Aryan Valley
Full day explore the Aryan Valley villages and Drok pa community. Dah, Hanu and Beema, Gorkun are some of the major villages. Have a day hike to Photang and overnight stay.
Day 10 Aryan Valley to Kargil
After breakfast drive to reach at last border called Batalik and further to Shashi La pass. You have to trek little for half an hour to reach at the top. Offers and incredible view of Pakistan Border - Suru Valley and Kashmir valley, Nun and Kun peaks which are the highest in the region are visible from this point. Drive to Himbotingla pass and further down to Kargil and overnight stay.
Day 11 Kargil – Srinagar
After breakfast drive to Drass to see Kargil war memorial. Drive back to Leh and en route explore Mulbekh - Fatu La pass and stop at Lamayuru monastery. Further drive will take you to enroute stop at Alchi monastery the oldest in Ladakh approx 1000 years old and only one built on flat ground. You will get dropped at your hotel in Leh
Day 12 Departure Srinagar
After breakfast you will get transferred to the airport in Leh for onward destination
